bio Jon McGuireKarl Fillip II | President & CEO

Karl grew up in the healthcare laundry industry, working alongside his father prior to heading off to college. Mr. Fillip received a B.A. in Accounting & Finance and a Master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago.

Karl has been with NOVO Health Services since November 2016 and has was named CEO in December 2021.  Karl was instrumental in the completion of several key business initiatives and has worked diligently in guiding our efforts the past few years, he has helped NOVO transition from a small local laundry service to a leading multi-regional player in the industry.

Karl was previously a Vice President at Brookstone Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York. In his role at Brookstone Partners, Karl was responsible for the origination, evaluation, and execution of portfolio company acquisitions. Mr. Fillip also worked directly with senior management of portfolio companies on key initiatives including strategic planning, lean implementations, reorganizations, hiring of key executives, and add-on acquisitions. Prior to joining Brookstone, Mr. Fillip worked at Deloitte serving Fortune 200 Manufacturing clients focusing on mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate restructurings.

Karl Sr. has worked 40+ years in the industrial healthcare laundry business. Formerly the CEO of Alliance Linen & Textile Services, Karl Sr. also worked 20+ years with Aramark Uniform Services as their VP of Operations.

 

 

Jason McCoy 200pxJason McCoy | CFO

Jason McCoy has a BS and MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. Jason’s executive leadership, financial acumen, and IT expertise has been instrumental to NOVO’s success.  Jason has a decades-long history of service with the Boy Scouts of America and other community organizations. He is devoted to his wife and four children, and balances his professional life by enjoying outdoor activities, travel, and sporting events with them.

Extensive manufacturing, service & distribution experience. Passionate about driving results through employee engagement, systems & problem solving while maintaining a high level of safety. Focus on the customer experience and fostering a great work environment.

Jon has been in the reprocessing and repair of reusable surgical devices for over 25 years. He started his career with SRI, Sterile Recoveries Inc., an upstart company specializing in the reprocessing and sterilization of innovative surgical linens.

Over 20 years’ experience executing contracted services agreements within hospitals and healthcare systems. The past 8 years in the Healthcare Laundry space as the SVP of Sales & Services with Angelica. At Angelica oversaw nationally all aspects of the sales organization/contracting, as well as day to day customer service interactions.

Shane brings a great depth of general industry experience having served at Unipoly/Dunlap and Leggett & Platt in Quality and Continuous Improvement roles, at Nexcel Synthetic Surfaces and Stanton Carpet as General Manager and Operations Director-level roles, before most recently serving as VP of Operations at Coregistics and, for the last 7 years, as Vice President of Operations / East Region for Angelica Corporation.  Shane holds a B.S. Industrial Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University / Georgia Institute of Technology in addition to certifications in CEEM ISO 9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor (ANSI/RAB) and as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
